Role OverviewThe successful candidate will support the aerodynamic design, analysis, and optimization of axial turbine stages for gas turbine and turbojet engines, with a focus on blade and vane aerodynamics, performance, and efficiency across design, analysis, and testing phases.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the design of turbine blades and vanes, including profiles, angles, and stackingPerform CFD simulations for turbine cascades and stages, analyzing losses, secondary flows, and heat transfer effectsEvaluate turbine performance under design and off-design conditions, supporting compressor and combustor matchingContribute to rig and engine testing activities, including instrumentation requirements and test data analysisCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical and thermal engineering teamsSupport continuous improvement of aerodynamic tools, methods, and best practicesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering4–7 years of experience in turbomachinery aerodynamic designExperience in turbine aerodynamics is preferredTechnical SkillsSound understanding of turbine aerodynamics and flow physicsProficiency with turbomachinery design tools (e.g., NREC, ADT, AXstream)Experience with CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, CFX, NUMECA)Familiarity with turbine performance and efficiency parametersBasic knowledge of heat transfer and cooling flows is advantageousPreferred QualificationsExperience with small gas turbines or turbojet enginesExposure to multi-stage turbine designExperience in test data analysis Please note, this role is based in the UAE and requires relocation
