Data Business Analyst – Analytics Solution for Product, Installed-Base and Commercial Data
About The Role
Our client is looking for a Data Business Analyst to help build and scale an analytics solution that brings together product, installed-base and commercial data. The role is hands-on and sits between the business and the technical data teams.
Responsibilities
Turn business rules and use cases into clear data requirementsMap required data attributes to their source systemsEvaluate how available, complete, accurate and reliable the data isIdentify data gaps and coordinate corrections and enrichment together with Business, Product Management, Master Data Management and Analytics/BIValidate data before it is implemented in BISupport sustainable data governance, including ownership, definitions and quality standardsDeliver documented requirements, data mappings, gap assessments and prioritized improvement actions
Required Skills And Experience
Several years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst or in a comparable role, converting business needs into data requirementsPractical experience with data profiling and analysis using tools such as SQL and Excel/Power QueryExperience with master data, product data and data quality in PIM/MDM environmentsSolid understanding of data governance, including ownership, definitions, quality rules and stewardshipStrong stakeholder management and coordination skills across business and IT functionsExcellent documentation skills and fluency in spoken and written English
Meritorious Skills
Experience with STEP (Stibo Systems)Experience with Snowflake or DatabricksBackground in the aftermarket or parts and accessories space, such as product compatibility, installed base or spare partsExperience working with BI/Power BI teams, analytics or recommendation modelsAbility to start at short notice
