Data Engineer

Role: Data / Analytics EngineerEngagement: Freelance / B2BRate: €35 per hourLocation: Remote / European Timezone Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and maintain robust data pipelines using Databricks, dbt, SQL, and Jinja across Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold).Build reusable data transformations, apply data modelling best practice, and maintain production grade data quality, governance, and traceability.Integrate source code management using Git and GitFlow while supporting CI/CD automation pipelines.Lead client facing workshops, requirements gathering, and architecture documentation, translating business needs into performant technical solutions. Requirements5 to 7 years of hands on experience in data and analytics engineering.Strong expertise in Databricks, advanced SQL, dbt, and Medallion Architecture.Proven background working with Azure data services, Data Lakes, Apache Spark (PySpark / Spark SQL), and Airflow.Experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and technical documentation within agile delivery teams.Engineering background with fluent professional English communication.
