Description:Requisition Name: Data Scientist (Junior 1-3 Years)Location: Malmo, Sweden/Hybrid 3 days onsite a weekContract Duration: 4-6+ Months Background Price comparison Tool - We are developing a data-driven analytics solution that enables teams to compare product offerings and pricing across markets. The solution uses multiple data sources and analytical methods to identify similarities, assess competitiveness, and generate actionable insights that support business planning, decision-making, and continuous improvementDescribe the scope of the consultant’s assignment.The consultant will support the development and continuous improvement of a data-driven analytics solution for comparing product offerings and market pricing. The assignment will include preparing and analysing data, developing product similarity and competitiveness metrics, applying data science methods such as price elasticity and demand analysis, and assessing the impact of price changes on sales, revenue, and margin.The consultant will also contribute to proactive price monitoring by identifying relevant market and competitor price changes, detecting potential affordability risks, and developing indicators or alerts to support timely business action. They will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, document methods and results, and support testing, automation, and knowledge transfer.Day-to-day tasks The data scientist will analyse product, pricing, sales, and market data to identify competitiveness gaps, price sensitivity, and opportunities for improvement. They will develop and validate models, monitor data quality and performance, investigate price changes, and translate findings into actionable business insights.The role includes onboarding new countries by validating local data, configuring analytical outputs, and resolving implementation issues. The consultant will collaborate with data, technology, and business teams, participate in stakeholder meetings, present findings, gather feedback, support testing, and document solutions for knowledge transfer. Requirements:Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etcStrong knowledge of data science, statistics, and econometrics, including price elasticity, demand modelling, price sensitivity, and forecasting.Experience analysing pricing, sales, product, customer, and competitor data.Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data preparation, modelling, validation, and automation. Knowledge of machine learning and similarity methods for comparing products or market offerings.Understanding of data quality, monitoring, experimentation, and model performance evaluation.Experience with data visualisation and communicating analytical results through dashboards, reports, and presentations. Familiarity with proactive price monitoring, anomaly detection, alerts, and identifying market or competitor price changes.Ability to work with stakeholders across business, technology, and data teams, and to support country onboarding and local data validation.
