Freelance Podcast Editor – Remote

This role is ideal for an experienced podcast editor seeking a flexible, remote opportunity to work on a well-established podcast series. The project involves editing a single 40–45 minute episode, with the possibility of future assignments based on performance and fit. The podcast has a substantial archive of over 220 episodes, and the editing process is being transitioned from in-house to freelance support. You will be provided with all necessary audio and video files, either directly or via Riverside, and are expected to deliver a polished, professional final product suitable for a discerning audience.

Deliverables

Edit and deliver a full-length podcast episode (40–45 minutes) with improved pacing, clarity, and overall audio quality. Produce 1–3 short video clips from the episode, optimized for LinkedIn sharing, using supplied raw footage. Ensure all deliverables meet high production standards and are ready for immediate publication. Collaborate remotely, utilizing Riverside for workflow and file management as needed.

Proven experience editing podcasts, with a strong portfolio demonstrating audio and video editing skills. Proficiency in podcast editing software and familiarity with Riverside workflows. Ability to enhance audio quality, remove unwanted noise, and improve pacing for listener engagement. Experience creating short, engaging video clips for social media platforms, especially LinkedIn. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Comfortable working independently and communicating remotely. Availability for a one-off project, with openness to potential ongoing work.
