Head of Product Assurance — New Space, Production Scale We build satellites at a pace most of the industry isn't set up for. Tens a year, hardware going out the door weekly. When something's wrong with a design, it's not one bad unit - it's twenty. That's the environment this role sits in. We need someone who's done this before, at this kind of volume, and actually wants to be in the lab rather than writing about what happened in it after the fact.

The jobYou'll own non-conformances from the moment they're flagged through to root cause and fleet-wide containment, including telling a customer when something's already shipped. You'll be the one deciding where ECSS and GEVS standards get applied strictly and where they get tailored, because on our timelines, by-the-book isn't always the right call, and you'll need to be able to defend that decision. Day to day also means:Running supplier quality across PCB fab, PCBA, mechanical parts and EEE screeningWriting (and defending, in person) PA documentation with customersBuilding out the PA function as we scale — this isn't a maintain-what-exists roleTime in cleanroom and assembly environments (ISO 7 and ISO 6), regularly

What we need from you8+ years in space hardware PA or QA, at least 2 of those managing a teamReal, applied ECSS knowledge — you've tailored it, not just followed itSupplier quality experience in hardware manufacturingA track record of stopping shipments when it mattered, and of not stopping them when it didn'tYou're comfortable being wrong in front of people and fixing it fast If most of your PA experience has been reviews and sign-offs rather than hands-on ownership, this probably isn't the right fit - and that's fine, it's just a different kind of role.
