Vice President Supply Chain

VP of Supply Chain | Space Technology Location: Europe Working Model: Remote with regular international travel around Europe I’m supporting a rapidly growing European space technology company looking to appoint a VP of Supply Chain as it enters a major phase of manufacturing and production scale-up.

This is a key leadership position sitting between Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, with responsibility for building the strategy, supplier ecosystem and operating model required to move from highly engineered, lower-volume production into serial production at significant scale.

The RoleOwn and develop the company-wide supply chain strategy across multiple international manufacturing locationsBuild a supply chain capable of supporting a significant ramp-up in satellite productionAct as the strategic link between Engineering, Manufacturing and ProcurementDevelop key supplier and manufacturing partnershipsLead make-vs-buy, insourcing and outsourcing strategyIdentify which capabilities should be developed internally as production scalesDevelop and manage an international supplier ecosystem across multiple jurisdictionsNavigate local sourcing, compliance and supplier requirementsImprove supply-chain resilience, capacity, cost and scalabilitySupport the transition from bespoke engineering requirements into repeatable, scalable production

Who We’re Looking ForA key requirement is someone who started their career in Engineering before transitioning into Procurement/Supply Chain leadership.

You’ll ideally bring:Senior leadership experience within complex, highly engineered hardware environmentsStrong technical credibility when working with Engineering leadershipExperience scaling products from low-volume/bespoke manufacturing into serial productionStrategic procurement, sourcing and supplier development experienceExperience making significant make-vs-buy and insourcing decisionsInternational and multi-site supply chain leadershipExperience building strategic supplier relationships across different countriesThe ability to operate effectively within a fast-growing, changing organisation Relevant backgrounds could include automotive, EV, semiconductor, electronics, robotics, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing or NewSpace.
