Power Electronics Design Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM in the electrified vehicle space. They are looking for a hands-on Power Electronics System Engineer with a strong background in traction inverter development — ideally from a Tier-1 automotive supplier. About the roleYou will own system design and requirements engineering for the inverter — the core component responsible for converting DC from the battery pack to AC for the traction motor. Working in a cross-functional team, you will drive requirements from vehicle level down to component, managing both hardware and software interfaces. We believe you have experience with Inverter system design (DC/AC conversion, gate driving, thermal management)Requirement elicitation and structured breakdown to subsystem levelSystem safety design in accordance with ISO 26262Stakeholder management across electrical, software, and mechanical teamsSupplier technical support and interface managementSeveral years of experience with traction inverters or power conversion systems for EV — from a Tier-1 supplier or equivalent environmentSolid understanding of both HW and SW aspects of power electronicsExperience with electric drive systems and motor control fundamentalsProficiency in requirement management, ISO 26262, and ASPICEHands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink and CarweaverB.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Why work at Astek Sweden?Astek is driven by a strong spirit of curiosity and a genuine passion for technology.
