Project Controller

We at WeQuel are now looking for a Project Controller in Södertälje, where you will become a key part of a department managing a diverse portfolio of product development projects and customer-related business projects, with a focus on financial control, transparency and informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as a finance business partner and trusted advisor to project managers and management teams, you will help drive profitability, resource efficiency and successful project execution. The portfolio ranges from product and service development initiatives to complex customer projects, and the role means balancing technical, commercial and financial perspectives. It is also an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of project-driven business operations and to work closely with stakeholders across engineering, sales, purchasing, production and finance.

Financial planning, forecasting and follow-up for a portfolio of product development and customer projectsMonitoring of project performanceIdentifying risks and opportunities, and proactively supporting corrective actionsAnalysing project profitability, business cases and investment proposals throughout the project lifecycleFinancial insights and performance analyses for project managers and department leadershipDeveloping and maintaining project financial reporting, covering budget tracking, resource utilisation and cost developmentPreparing decision material and presentations for management teams and governance forumsKeeping finances transparent and supporting fact-based decisions on project priorities and investmentsAd hoc analyses of project performance, portfolio management and business development initiativesContinuous improvement of project controlling processes, tools and reporting methods

Experience in controlling, financial analysis, project controlling, business controlling or project management supportExperience with budgets, forecasts, business cases and financial reportingExperience from product development, industrial operations, manufacturing or customer project environments is highly valuedUniversity degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Economics, Engineering or a related fieldProfessional proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is an advantageStrong analytical skills and an understanding of technical, commercial and financial driversExcellent communication and presentation skills, including explaining financial matters to non-financial stakeholdersCollaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across functions and organisational levelsProactive and analytical, and you enjoy working in project-oriented environmentsAble to turn complex information into actionable insightsA solid financial foundation with a real interest in business operations and project managementComfortable challenging assumptions and asking the right questionsAble to support decision-makers with strategic perspectives and attention to detail
