Satellite Lead Systems Engineer / Architect - Technical Design Authority - Platform & Payload - Thermal & Propulsion Long term B2B contract / freelance opportunity for a Satellite Lead Systems Engineer / Architect to join my leading client on the development of their next generation constellation of GEO satellites. The role of the Satellite Lead Systems Engineer / Architect will be to work closely with external partners and manufacturers to co-design and engineer the Satellite platform and payload subsystems for this new constellation. To be successful in this role we are looking for a senior, proven individual, who has worked on similar projects in this role (ideally GEO project experience). You will need to have a holistic / helicopter view of all subsystems as you’ll be responsible for the end to end design and engineering of all spacecraft subsystems such as (Thermal, mechanical, propulsion, Power, AOCS etc.). Therefore we are looking for an individual who has this end to end holistic view, not an expert in one particular area. The ideal candidate will have previous GEO mission experience, will have stronger platform experience than payload, and will ideally have good knowledge/experience of propulsion and thermal systems. This role is mostly remote, requiring some on-site presence.
