Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS, Android & React Native) - EU Institutions

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Software Engineer to join an international environment focused on delivering innovative digital solutions and mobile services for large-scale platforms. You will contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of mobile applications that support critical business processes and enhance user experience through modern, secure and scalable technologies. Working within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in creating high-quality mobile applications, integrating them with enterprise systems and APIs, and ensuring performance, security and reliability across iOS and Android platforms. What you will do Architect, design and develop native and cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.Analyse and document business and technical requirements.Develop modern, scalable and maintainable mobile applications following industry best practices.Design and implement reusable mobile architecture components and frameworks.Build interactive prototypes to validate user experience and technical feasibility.Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs and third-party platforms.Design and optimise mobile data models, offline synchronization mechanisms and local storage solutions.Develop secure mobile applications applying authentication, authorization and data protection best practices.Execute and maintain unit, integration and UI testing strategies.Participate in the deployment and release management of applications through App Store, Google Play and enterprise distribution channels.Create and maintain technical documentation and development artefacts.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for mobile application delivery.Collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical teams and business users to deliver high-quality digital solutions.Participate in Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives. What we are looking for University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (typically a Master's degree or 5 years of higher education).Minimum 10 years of professional IT experience.Excellent knowledge of mobile application development frameworks such as React Native, Ionic or similar cross-platform technologies.Strong experience developing native mobile applications for iOS and Android.Proficiency in Swift for iOS development and Kotlin for Android development.Excellent knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.Experience with mobile development platforms and IDEs such as Android Studio and Xcode.Strong understanding of native, hybrid and progressive mobile application development.Experience designing and consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs.Knowledge of mobile databases such as SQLite, Realm or Firebase.Experience integrating mobile applications with enterprise databases and backend platforms.Experience with CI/CD tools and mobile delivery pipelines (Fastlane, App Center, Jenkins or similar).Experience with development lifecycle tools such as Jira and Git.Knowledge of mobile security best practices, secure storage and authentication mechanisms including OAuth and biometric authentication.Ability to design scalable, secure and high-performance mobile solutions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.English or French language proficiency at B2 level or higher.Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments. Nice to have: AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification (or equivalent mobile development certification).Experience with Flutter or additional cross-platform mobile frameworks.Experience building enterprise-grade mobile applications integrated with complex backend ecosystems.Knowledge of cloud-native development practices and mobile DevOps.Experience working on large-scale public sector or international digital transformation programmes.Knowledge of French as an additional language.Experience with modern UX/UI implementation and mobile accessibility standards.
