Senior tvOS Developer — Contract | Remote (UK/EU) | €450–550 p/d Outside IR35 | 6 months+ Someone will spend the next six months making the Apple TV app better for a few million people. Might be you. We're speaking to senior tvOS developers for contract work with streaming platforms, broadcasters and CTV businesses across the UK and Europe. These are teams shipping to real living rooms at real scale, where playback quality is a commercial metric rather than a ticket in the backlog. The work usually looks like: Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit on tvOS, building features end to endAVPlayer and AVFoundation — HLS, adaptive bitrate, FairPlay DRM, offline playbackThe focus engine and the remote, which is a genuinely different design problem from a touchscreen and the reason this skillset is scarceStartup time, rebuffering and bitrate ladders — measuring them and then actually moving themApp Store release cycles, TestFlight, staged rolloutsWorking alongside iOS, Android TV and web teams to keep one experience across five platforms You'll fit if you have: Strong commercial Swift and at least one tvOS or iOS app shipped and liveHands-on video playback experience, not just UI work over someone else's playerComfort operating independently in a small team on a short runway 5V Video are acting as an Employment Business for the purposes of this job vacancy.
