Software Engineer

They are looking for an experienced Software Architect to help shape the future of their products and platforms while providing technical leadership across multiple development teams. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale cloud-native systems, influence strategic technology decisions, and drive architectural best practices in a business where software is at the heart of everything they do. The RoleAs a Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and evolving complex systems built on Python and AWS. You'll work closely with engineering teams, product leaders, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with long-term business goals. The position is based in Tampere with a hybrid working model. Candidates located in Helsinki are also encouraged to apply, with flexible remote working available alongside regular team collaboration days. Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive software architecture across multiple products and services.Design scalable, cloud-native solutions using AWS technologies.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.Drive improvements in system reliability, security, performance, and scalability.Support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.Contribute to long-term technology strategy and roadmaps. Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience working as a Software Architect or Lead Software Engineer.Strong background in Python development.Hands-on experience designing solutions within AWS environments.Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture.Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable ExperienceEvent-driven architecture experience.Experience with serverless technologies.Data, AI, or Machine Learning platform knowledge.Experience within highly regulated or enterprise-scale environments.Previous experience leading architectural transformation projects.
