System Specialist

Role: IT Workplace Specialist/Systems SpecialistLocation: Boden/Lulea About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced IT Workplace Specialist to join a large-scale IT operations environment supporting thousands of end users across a complex Microsoft infrastructure. This is a specialist position focused on ownership, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the workplace platform rather than traditional helpdesk support.The successful candidate will act as a key technical contact for workplace services, ensuring a secure, stable, and efficient end-user environment while working closely with wider infrastructure, security, and operational teams. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop the modern workplace environment, including Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Autopilot, application deployment, compliance policies, and configuration profiles.Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, permissions, and directory governance.Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.Deliver security updates, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and platform lifecycle management.Manage endpoint devices, mobile devices, printers, and workplace hardware.Participate in change management and service improvement initiatives within an ITIL-aligned environment.Assist with security investigations and incident response activities.Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best-practice guidance.Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, automation, and user experience. Required ExperienceSeveral years of experience managing endpoint and workplace environments within medium to large Microsoft-based organisations.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including policy creation, application deployment, compliance management, and device configuration.Solid expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID administration.Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 technologies.Experience working within structured service management frameworks and ticketing systems.Ability to produce technical documentation and operational procedures.Fluent Swedish language skills, both written and spoken.Full driving licence.Ability to successfully complete background screening and security checks. Desirable SkillsMicrosoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102, AZ-104, or SC-300.Experience managing macOS, iOS, and Android devices in enterprise environments.PowerShell scripting and automation experience.Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and security hardening frameworks.Experience with print management platforms and virtual desktop technologies.Previous experience within public sector or highly regulated environments.Experience delivering services against SLAs and operational performance targets.
