We are looking for an experienced and driven Technical Package Manager – Special Foundations to join the OL31 Project in Vagnhärad. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in a major infrastructure development, leading and coordinating critical foundation works while working closely with clients, designers, contractors, and project teams. As Technical Package Manager, you will play an important part in ensuring successful project delivery through strong coordination, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to safety, quality, and performance. About the ProjectThe OL31 Project forms part of the Ostlänken programme, one of Sweden's largest and most important railway infrastructure investments. Ostlänken is a new approximately 160-kilometre double-track railway connecting Järna and Linköping, designed to increase capacity, improve regional connectivity and support sustainable transport across Sweden. The project involves complex civil engineering works. Working on OL31 offers the opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure programme that will have a lasting impact on Sweden's transport network and future development. About the RoleAs Technical Package Manager - Special Foundations, you will take technical ownership of all special foundation works within the project. The role requires a highly experienced specialist with extensive knowledge of both the design and construction of special foundation systems. You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging engineering designs produced by external designers and consultants, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically sound, buildable, compliant, and suitable for construction. You will act as the key technical authority for foundation-related matters throughout the project lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical management of the Special Foundations package throughout the project lifecycle.Review, verify and challenge foundation designs prepared by engineering consultants and designers.Perform detailed design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards and best engineering practices.Evaluate the constructability, feasibility and technical suitability of proposed foundation solutions.Assess geotechnical reports, design calculations, technical specifications and construction methodologies.Ensure compliance with Swedish regulations, Eurocodes and project-specific requirements.Provide technical guidance to project management, procurement teams and construction personnel.Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.Support procurement activities, tender evaluations and technical clarifications related to foundation works.Coordinate with designers, contractors, geotechnical specialists and other project stakeholders.Monitor site execution and ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved designs and quality standards.Manage technical interfaces between foundation works and other project disciplines. Your ProfileRequired Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior technical role involving special foundations, geotechnical engineering or heavy civil construction.Proven experience in both the design and execution of special foundation works.Demonstrated ability to independently review and validate engineering designs prepared by third parties.Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles, structural behavior and construction methodologies.Experience with foundation systems such as: Piling works, Deep foundations, Ground improvement solutions, Retaining structures, Earth retention systems and Ground stabilization techniques, etc. Experience on large industrial, infrastructure or complex construction projects.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Language RequirementsProfessional working proficiency in English is required.Swedish is highly meritorious due to the project's regulatory environment, documentation requirements.
