For one of my customer we are looking for a UK Sovereign Collaboration & Compliance Services Architect expertise consultant for a contract opportunity.Duration: 6 months(renewable)Location: Europe(100% remote)Description:We are looking for an experienced UK Sovereign Security & Workplace Architect to design and evolve a secure UK collaboration environment supporting the handling of OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE information within a defence-related environment.The role will initially focus on an interim secure document collaboration solution and then support the transition to a sustainable UK sovereign secure enclave.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine the architecture and security controls for secure UK document collaboration.Develop the target architecture and roadmap for a UK sovereign secure enclave.Translate UK defence, cybersecurity, sovereignty and privacy requirements into practical controls.Support alignment with Cyber Essentials Plus, NCSC guidance, DEF STAN 05-138 and DCPP principles.Provide security architecture guidance across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Purview, DLP and identity/access controls.Assess data residency, administrative sovereignty, encryption/key management and secure support requirements.Lead technical assessments of vendors, sovereign service providers and MSPs.Coordinate with Security, Workplace, Infrastructure, Identity, Legal, Privacy, Export Control and Procurement teams.Support migration, service acceptance, operational handover and secure decommissioning of the interim solution.Maintain architecture documentation, risk registers, control mappings and architecture decisions. Essential ExperienceProven experience as a Security Architect, Cybersecurity Architect, Workplace Security Architect or similar.Strong experience with secure collaboration / Microsoft 365 security architecture.Practical knowledge of IAM, MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, information protection, encryption and auditing.Experience with UK defence, government or highly regulated environments.Knowledge of UK OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE information handling.Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus and/or secure service certification.Understanding of NCSC, DEF STAN 05-138 and DCPP requirements.Experience translating security and regulatory requirements into architecture controls.Strong stakeholder, vendor and architecture governance experience. DesirableUK MOD/defence or aerospace experience.Secure enclave or sovereign cloud experience.Microsoft Purview and Information Protection experience.Export-control knowledge.CMMC or comparable defence cybersecurity framework experience.
