Cost/Commercial manager

Location: Finland-Multiple locations (Salo, Helsinki & Kouvola)Contract Type: Freelance / ContractContract Length:Salo - 18 MonthsHelsinki - 9 MonthsKouvola - 24 MonthsWorking Pattern: Fully OnsiteHours: 40 Hours per WeekRate: Dependent on Experience Key Responsibilities:• Manage project commercial and cost management activities across large-scale construction projects.• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and overall financial performance.• Administer contracts, variations, change orders, claims, and subcontractor accounts.• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and subcontractor negotiations.• Prepare and present accurate commercial and cost reports to stakeholders.• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.• Ensure contractual compliance and commercial best practices are maintained throughout project delivery.• Work closely with project, construction, client, and contractor teams to drive successful project outcomes. Requirements (PLEASE READ):• Previous experience as a Cost Manager, Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Lead, or similar position.• Strong experience working on large-scale construction projects.• Background within CSA, General Contractor (GC), or MEP environments.• Proven experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting.• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, variations, and claims management.• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.• Fluent English is required.• Finnish language skills are advantageous but not essential.• MUST be able to work onsite in Finland for the duration of the project.
