Onsite Manager

Freelance Site Manager | Infrastructure | Stockholm We are supporting a leading contractor on a major infrastructure project in Stockholm and are looking to speak with experienced Freelance Site Managers for a long-term contract opportunity. The role will involve managing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors, overseeing construction activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. Location: Stockholm, SwedenDuration: 12 months (with potential extension)Rate: €850-950/dayStart Date: December 2026Language: English RequiredEngagement: Freelance / Contract Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day construction activities on site.Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.Oversee site logistics, construction sequencing, and resource planning.Monitor progress, quality, and project milestones.Ensure compliance with HSE and project standards.Liaise with project management, engineering, and commercial teams.Produce site reports and attend coordination meetings.Support project completion and handover activities. Essential:Previous experience as a Site Manager on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.Background in rail, highways, bridges, tunnels, utilities, or transportation infrastructure.Strong subcontractor management and site coordination skills.Good understanding of construction methodologies and HSE requirements.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable:Experience working for Tier 1 contractors such as NCC, Skanska, Peab, GRK, or Implenia.Previous experience on large-scale transportation projects.Swedish language skills.
