PE Global are delighted to be working with a very good client of ours who are dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.Our client has grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and is the only dedicated Data Centre delivery partner in Europe.They are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight. We are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our project team in Vaasa, Finland. This role will be responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and delivery of design solutions across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines, ensuring designs are compliant, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements. This is a full time permanent contract operating on a shift rotational roster. Please note there is no visa sponsorship on offer, candidates must have a valid EU or UK passport, or have the appropriate working permit visa. RequirementsSupport the development and coordination of design solutions across all project disciplinesPrepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentationAssist in ensuring design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standardsCoordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on design-related activitiesParticipate in Design Meetings, Coordination Meetings, and Project ReviewsLiaise with construction teams to ensure design intent is understood and implemented on siteAssist in managing RFIs and ensuring timely responses to technical queriesSupport the review and approval process for technical submittals and design documentationEnsure effective coordination between CSA and MEP design elementsIdentify and assist in resolving design, technical, and coordination issuesMaintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation throughout the project lifecycleSupport commercial teams by identifying design-related risks and potential variations Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or similar disciplineMinimum 3 years experience in a design engineering role within construction or building servicesExperience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projectsGood understanding of design principles, standards, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar)Strong organisational and communication skillAbility to work collaboratively within a project team environmentStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesData centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous BenefitsOpportunity to work for a market leader in the Data centre industryWorking on large scale data centre projects Collaborative team working environmentsCareer progression and development supportedCompetitive salary packages
