Location: Remote within Europe, with occasional travelAn international B2B sportsbook technology provider is undertaking a major transformation of its trading product and operating model. We are looking for a senior quantitative leader to develop the pricing, risk, and automation capabilities that will underpin the next generation of the sportsbook platform.The successful candidate will establish and lead a specialist quantitative team, develop production-grade models, and introduce automation progressively across sports, markets, and trading processes. The objective is to create a book increasingly governed by reliable models, with traders focused on supervision, exceptions, and strategic intervention.This position combines quantitative modeling, product development, trading strategy, technology, and organizational change.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and lead a quantitative trading function covering pre-match and live pricing, risk exposure, liability management, and operational automation.Develop robust pricing and risk models that operate at scale in a live sportsbook environment.Own the quantitative logic supporting core sportsbook features, including same-game multiples, bet builder, cash-out calculations, personalized offerings, and market availability.Define the automation roadmap in partnership with senior trading and technology leaders.Determine which sports, markets, and operational processes should be automated first, based on commercial value, model readiness, and implementation risk.Introduce a staged validation framework, ensuring every model meets clearly defined performance standards before receiving greater control of the book.Establish benchmarks for price accuracy, margin performance, hold, market uptime, availability, and risk exposure.Compare new models against existing trading performance and use production evidence to guide deployment decisions.Work closely with quantitative developers, engineers, trading technology teams, and the organisation’s central AI function to move models from research into production.Influence the development of the data infrastructure required for real-time modelling, monitoring, testing, and decision-making.Build appropriate controls, audit trails, escalation procedures, and human-override mechanisms. Candidate ProfileWe are interested in senior quantitative professionals who have developed, implemented, or managed automated pricing and risk models in a high-volume, real-time environment.The strongest candidates will bring:Proven experience building or operating algorithmic pricing and risk systems at scale.A strong background in sportsbook modeling, quantitative trading, market making, or high-frequency trading.Advanced knowledge of statistics, machine learning, probability, stochastic modeling, optimization, or related quantitative disciplines.The ability to remain technically involved in model development and evaluation.Experience moving quantitative models beyond the research stage and deploying them into live production.Strong knowledge of how to evaluate a model before allowing it to influence or control live trading decisions.A highly analytical approach to performance measurement, experimentation, benchmarking, and validation.Experience leading quantitative specialists or building a quantitative capability from an early stage.A practical, AI-first approach to quantitative research, modeling, development, and team productivity.
