Location: Gothenburg, Sweden - on-siteStart date: 21 September 2026Project duration: until 28 February 2027Only Freelancer Design Consulting is looking for a talented Junior Interior Component Designer to support the design and development of high-quality components for next-generation vehicle interiors.You will work at the intersection of design, engineering and user experience, translating creative design intent into detailed, visually refined and production-feasible solutions. Key responsibilities:Design and develop interior components for next-generation vehiclesTranslate design concepts into detailed, production-ready solutionsCreate sketches and visualisations to communicate design intentDevelop 3D models and high-quality visual representationsContribute to a cohesive, intuitive and emotionally engaging interior environmentEnsure the right balance between aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics and production feasibilityCollaborate closely with designers, engineers and other cross-functional teamsExplore new materials, technologies and sustainable design solutionsRequirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Design, Industrial Design or a related fieldAbility to develop production-ready component designsStrong sketching and visualisation skillsProficiency in 3D modelling and visualisation tools such as Alias, Blender, Photoshop and VREDUnderstanding of ergonomics, materials and manufacturing processesStrong sense of form, proportion and tactile qualityAbility to balance design quality, functionality and technical feasibilityGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate across different disciplinesDetail-oriented, proactive and curious approachInterest in innovative materials, technologies and design methodsCommitment to thoughtful, sustainable and well-resolved design solutionsFluent English, written and spokenTravel requirements:Occasional business trips to Asia, approximately twice per year Interested candidates can apply by sending an updated CV and portfolio, indicating their earliest availability.
