QA Automation Engineer - European Digital Projects

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join an international digital transformation environment supporting large-scale web, API and backend applications. You will play a key role in improving software quality through the design, implementation and maintenance of automated testing solutions that support critical digital services and complex enterprise systems.Working within multicultural and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the adoption of modern quality assurance practices, automation frameworks and DevSecOps methodologies, helping organisations accelerate delivery while ensuring reliability, scalability and security. What you will do Design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions for web, API and backend applications.Create, execute and monitor automated test suites and testing activities.Develop scalable, reusable and maintainable test automation frameworks.Define and implement automation strategies, methodologies and best practices.Support the transition from manual testing to automated testing approaches.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles.Evaluate test automation tools, frameworks and technologies aligned with DevSecOps principles.Create automated reporting, dashboards and quality metrics to support decision-making.Collaborate closely with developers, testers and project teams to identify automation opportunities.Build and maintain regression test suites that improve product quality and release confidence.Contribute to test data management and quality assurance processes.Promote shift-left testing practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives. What we are looking for University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (typically Master's degree or 5 years of higher education) and a minimum of 5 years of professional IT experience; orUniversity degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (typically Bachelor's degree or 3 years of higher education) and a minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience; orSecondary education combined with a minimum of 12 years of professional IT experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation engineering or software quality assurance.Strong experience with test automation frameworks and technologies such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress and RestAssured.Hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation solutions and frameworks.Experience testing web applications, APIs and backend systems.Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python or JavaScript.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and integrating automated testing into delivery pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI or similar).Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.Knowledge of test data management practices.Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of automated test generation using Generative AI technologies.Excellent English communication skills (B2 level minimum).Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.Eligibility to obtain EU security clearance.Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
