As a Senior Java Full Stack Architect, you will contribute to the design, evolution, and modernization of critical information systems that support the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), working within a multicultural and international environment alongside business and technical stakeholders across the European Commission. What you will do Design, develop, and maintain large-scale enterprise applications supporting agricultural and policy-related information systems.Provide full-stack architecture guidance across front-end, back-end, database, and cloud environments.Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions using Java and modern web technologies.Develop and enhance business-critical applications supporting key areas of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, architects, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Contribute to application modernization initiatives, cloud adoption strategies, and architectural improvements.Design and implement REST-based services and enterprise integrations.Ensure compliance with security, performance, quality, and maintainability standards across the application landscape.Support Agile software delivery using Agile@EC methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Participate in solution design reviews, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.Mentor development teams and promote best practices in software engineering, architecture, and cloud-native development.Work on a diverse portfolio of systems covering agricultural policy analysis, sustainability, financial management, audits, agricultural legislation, and geographical indications. What we are looking for University degree and extensive experience in software engineering and information systems development.Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience.At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Java development.At least 4 years of experience with Spring Framework.At least 4 years of experience with Hibernate.At least 16 years of experience working with JavaScript technologies.At least 16 years of experience with SQL and relational databases.Experience in the analysis, development, and maintenance of information systems within the agricultural sector.Strong expertise in enterprise application architecture and full-stack software development.Experience designing secure, scalable, and high-availability information systems.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification (mandatory).Hands-on experience with cloud and container technologies such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.Experience with PostgreSQL and Python is considered a strong asset.Solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and enterprise architecture principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.English level B2 or higher.Results-oriented mindset with strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
