Senior Supply Planner

Location: SwedenStart Date: As soon as possibleAssignment Length: 6 months (consultancy assignment)Engagement Model: Employment through Tessero or as an independent contractor About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Supply Planner to join a global supply chain organization operating in a complex manufacturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a senior planning professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational execution. The role offers broad exposure across supply chain functions and requires close collaboration with stakeholders across production, demand planning, procurement, logistics, product management, and leadership teams.You will play a key role in ensuring the right balance between service levels, inventory, capacity, and cost while driving continuous improvements across planning processes. Key ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Supply Planner, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing supply plans for a manufacturing site with a broad and complex product portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:Leading supply planning activities and managing planning forecasts and models.Managing inventory policies, safety stock levels, replenishment strategies, and planning parameters.Driving capacity planning activities with a planning horizon of up to 24 months.Maintaining and improving planning related master data in SAP and planning systems.Collaborating closely with demand planning, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial teams.Preparing and facilitating monthly Supply Management Reviews, including risk assessments, scenario analysis, and recommendations.Monitoring and improving KPIs related to inventory performance, service levels, and planning effectiveness.Leading continuous improvement initiatives within planning processes, network optimization, and operational efficiency.Supporting the implementation and adoption of AI enabled planning tools and advanced analytics across the supply chain organization.Acting as a senior point of contact within the planning community, supporting colleagues on complex planning challenges. Qualifications We are looking for a professional with:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.At least 7 years of experience within Supply Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, or broader Supply Chain roles.Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of end to end supply chain processes and integrated business planning.Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.Experience working with advanced planning tools such as Arkieva or similar solutions.Advanced analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken. Preferred QualificationsExperience from the chemical, process, or manufacturing industry.APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.Six Sigma certification.Experience working with AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives within planning functions.
