This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of the infrastructure supporting a modern AI platform, working across cloud engineering, Kubernetes, platform automation and AI-driven operations.You will have significant influence over how the platform is built, deployed, secured and operated in production. Key TechnologiesGCP - primary cloud environmentKubernetes - container orchestration and production workloadsTerraform - Infrastructure as CodeArgo CD / GitOps - deployment and platform automationGitLab / GitHub - CI/CDPython, Bash or TypeScript - automation and toolingCloud security, IAM, secrets management and certificatesExposure to AWS, Azure or IBM CloudISO 27001 / NIST and regulated environmentsAI agents and agentic workflows for infrastructure automation and incident response Your ResponsibilitiesOwn and evolve production cloud infrastructure across GCP and KubernetesBuild and maintain scalable, secure and highly available platformsDevelop Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment processesImplement and improve GitOps and CI/CD practicesAutomate operational processes and reduce manual interventionSupport observability, reliability and incident responseContribute to the adoption of AI-driven automation and agentic workflowsWork closely with senior engineers to shape platform architecture and engineering standards Your Experience 4+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or a closely related disciplineStrong hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes and TerraformProven experience with Argo CD / GitOpsStrong CI/CD experience using GitLab, GitHub or similarExperience operating and supporting production infrastructureStrong scripting or programming capabilities using Python, Bash or TypeScriptA solid understanding of cloud security, networking and identityExperience working in environments where reliability and security are criticalA genuine interest in applying AI to infrastructure, automation and operations If you are an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer looking for a freelance contract where you can have a genuine impact on a modern AI infrastructure platform, this could be an excellent opportunity.
