Electrical System Engineer – Gas Turbine Projects
About the Role We are looking for an experienced Electrical System Engineer to join the Low Voltage team within a global Medium Gas Turbine business in Finspång.You will be responsible for delivering customer-specific electrical designs and documentation for gas turbine projects, with a focus on low-voltage systems and equipment. The role offers broad collaboration with assembly, site teams, subcontractors, purchasing, suppliers, and project management.You will also provide technical support during assembly and workshop activities, supporting projects throughout the complete execution phase.
Key Responsibilities Design and document low-voltage electrical systems for customer-specific gas turbine projects.Work with equipment including frequency converters, starter motors, batteries, UPS systems, and switchgear.Ensure electrical designs meet customer requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and project timelines.Collaborate closely with assembly, site, suppliers, subcontractors, purchasing, and project teams.Provide technical support during workshop and assembly activities.Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving throughout project execution.Develop practical, customer-oriented electrical solutions.Contribute to continuous improvement and a collaborative engineering environment.Ensure strong focus on Safety, Quality, and Customer Satisfaction. Required Qualifications Degree or relevant education in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering.Experience designing and documenting electrical systems.Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and equipment.Ability to work effectively with multiple technical and project stakeholders.Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Willingness to work on-site in Finspång 3 days per week.Duration: 6 months Possibility of extension Advantageous ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following is highly valuable:COMOSSAPETAP or similar electrical/power-system analysis toolsUPS systems and battery systemsSiemens SINAMICS drive systemsSIMATIC STARTERConfiguration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of drive systemsPower generation or gas turbine projectsAutomation, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering
