Freelance Brand Designer – Luxury Fashion Product

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced brand designer to define and develop the inaugural product for a Scandinavian luxury fashion label. The role involves shaping the product concept from three initial directions and establishing a distinctive design language through silhouette, proportion, fit, materials, construction, and subtle signature details. The aesthetic is rooted in understated luxury, timelessness, and exceptional quality, drawing inspiration from leading brands known for restraint and material excellence. The ideal candidate will bring both creative vision and technical expertise, contributing an original perspective to the brand’s foundation and future collections.

Deliverables

Develop and refine the chosen product concept, including silhouette, proportion, and fit Specify fabrics, trims, and materials suitable for luxury menswear and contemporary apparel Create detailed technical drawings, tech packs, and measurement specifications Oversee sampling, fit reviews, and revisions to ensure production readiness Collaborate on establishing the brand’s visual and design language for future products Provide input on construction methods and subtle signature details that reinforce brand identity

Proven experience in premium or luxury menswear and contemporary apparel design Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in understated, timeless design and exceptional product quality Proficiency in technical design, including tech packs, technical drawings, and measurement specifications Experience with CLO3D or similar 3D garment development software is highly desirable Ability to manage the full product development lifecycle from concept to production Excellent communication and collaboration skills Creative vision with the ability to contribute an original point of view Availability for ongoing collaboration as the brand develops future collections
