We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join a dynamic technology environment where platform engineering, event streaming, cloud and modern data engineering come together.This is an opportunity to take ownership of highly important platforms, solve complex technical challenges and help shape scalable, reliable solutions across a modern Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. You’ll work closely with developers, data engineers, architects, IT teams and business stakeholders — combining deep technical expertise with the ability to understand the bigger picture.🚀 What you’ll be doingAdminister, operate and support Kafka and event-streaming platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, performance and scalability.Design, develop and continuously improve cloud-based platform solutions on GCP.Work hands-on with BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Dataflow, Cloud Run and other GCP services.Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt, Jinja SQL and Python.Contribute to data warehousing and data modelling, applying Kimball dimensional modelling principles.Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using GitHub and Cloud Build.Drive platform automation, monitoring, optimisation and operational excellence.Collaborate with developers, data engineers, architects and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions.Contribute to modern semantic modelling and analytics initiatives using Looker.Explore and contribute to AI-enabled agents and integrations, including emerging technologies such as A2A (Agent2Agent).Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve engineering productivity.Share knowledge, provide technical guidance and help raise engineering capabilities across the wider technology community. 🛠️ What you bringWe’re looking for someone who enjoys getting hands-on with technology and is equally comfortable troubleshooting a complex platform issue, designing a scalable solution or discussing architecture with stakeholders.
