SAP BASIS Administrator📍 Location: Hungary/ Remote EU💼 Type: (Freelance contract)Experience: 3–5 years SAP BASIS administrationTechnology: SAP ECC | S/4HANA | BW/4HANA | Solution Manager | SAP HANA Keep our SAP landscape running, secure and performingWe are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to administer and support our SAP systems, resolve incidents, and help keep the landscape secure, available and performing well. What you’ll be doingSystem administration & operationsAdminister and maintain SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager and other integrated applications.Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, patching and kernel updates.Manage system copies, client copies and transport management (STMS).Monitor system performance, analyse logs and proactively address bottlenecks.Work hands-on with SAP NetWeaver, Web Dispatcher and SAP Cloud Platform (BTP).Support non-NetWeaver products such as Business Objects solutions, Convergent Charging, Convergent Mediation, OpenText, BOBJ and BODS.Support Cloud Operations for applications running at scale.Incident management & troubleshootingAct as a point of escalation for complex SAP BASIS incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues related to system availability, performance and connectivity.Analyse and resolve alerts from monitoring tools such as Solution Manager, CCMS and third-party tools.Document root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to minimise recurrence.Service request fulfilmentProcess and fulfil service requests from business and IT teams, including system parameter changes and report scheduling.Carry out SAP upgrades and hands-on system patching.Install and renew SSL certificates.Support Fiori and Web Dispatchers.Performance & optimisationConduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.Optimise SAP HANA database administration, including backups, recovery and space management.Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.Security & complianceEnsure system security through regular patching, vulnerability assessments and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.Manage SSL certificates, SSO configurations and audit logging.Project participationCollaborate on SAP upgrade, migration and implementation projects.Provide BASIS expertise in architecture design, sizing and deployment planning. What you’ll bring3–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration and support.Strong expertise in SAP HANA database administration.Strong expertise in SAP NetWeaver, ABAP/Java stacks and non-NetWeaver products.Experience with operating systems (Linux/Windows) and virtualisation/cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware).Proven experience in incident management and service request fulfilment within an ITIL framework.Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
