Senior Java Developer

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer specialising in Keycloak and Identity & Access Management for a long-term engagement in Gothenburg. This is a hands-on engineering position focused on designing, building and operating secure identity capabilities across a modern Java microservices environment. What you'll be doingDesign, develop and operate IAM capabilities using Keycloak and JavaBuild and maintain production-grade Java microservicesExtend and customise Keycloak using SPIs, providers, user federation and authentication flowsImplement authentication and authorisation using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT and SAMLDevelop secure, scalable distributed systemsWork across Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and CI/CD environmentsSupport production deployments, observability, troubleshooting and incident responseCollaborate closely with security, platform and product teamsApply security best practices around tokens, sessions, authentication and authorisation Required experienceExtensive professional Java development experienceStrong, demonstrable hands-on Keycloak experienceExperience customising Keycloak through SPIs/providersStrong knowledge of IAM and SSODeep understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT and SAMLProduction experience with microservices and distributed systemsDocker and Kubernetes/OpenShiftCI/CDStrong database experience, ideally PostgreSQL and/or Oracle Experience with Kafka, MQ, Azure/AWS, Infinispan, CIAM, WebAuthn/FIDO2, Zero Trust or observability tooling would be advantageous.
