Design Engineer – Battery Enclosure Mechanics

About the AssignmentAs a Design Engineer within Battery Enclosure Mechanics, you will be responsible for the design and development of battery enclosure components and systems that house and protect high-voltage battery packs.You will work in a dynamic product development environment where flexibility, collaboration, and problem-solving are essential. The role involves close cooperation with multiple stakeholders and engineering disciplines to ensure robust, high-quality, and manufacturable solutions. Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Design Engineer, you will:Design and develop battery enclosure components and mechanical systems.Create and maintain 3D models and engineering documentation.Support product development activities throughout the engineering lifecycle.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure technical solutions and project deliveries.Balance priorities, technical requirements, and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced development environment.Contribute to design reviews, engineering investigations, and problem-solving activities.Support continuous improvement of products, methods, and engineering processes.Ensure design solutions meet quality, performance, manufacturing, and project requirements. Required QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a related engineering discipline.Strong experience with CATIA V5.Experience working with TCPLM / Teamcenter PLM.Experience designing components in:High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC)Aluminum structuresSteel structuresExperience within automotive product development.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
