Lead Hardware Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. The roleWe are looking for a Hardware Lead Engineer to join our team and support hardware release, configuration management, supplier coordination, and product lifecycle activities within advanced automotive connectivity platforms. In this role, you will drive hardware releases through key project milestones, coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure that hardware and documentation deliveries meet quality, timing, and production requirements. ResponsibilitiesDrive hardware release activities, including hardware sign-off and release according to project milestones.Manage hardware part number releases and associated documentation.Participate in design reviews and ensure configuration management alignment across systems and documentation.Coordinate hardware release approvals, deviations, and change management activities.Plan and follow up supplier hardware deliveries and release activities.Manage supplier backlogs and participate in supplier review meetings.Support factory, manufacturing, and aftermarket organizations with hardware release activities and deviations.Contribute to sourcing activities and technical documentation for new projects.Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure successful deliveries.Drive continuous improvements in hardware release processes and ways of working. Background / ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.Experience within automotive product development environments.Experience with hardware release, configuration management, component ownership, or related engineering activities.Knowledge of supplier management and supplier delivery follow-up processes.Understanding of automotive hardware development and release processes.Experience working with diagnostics, software integration, software testing, or electronic component releases is considered beneficial.Familiarity with tools such as VPDC, KDP, TCPLM, TcE, Planisware, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage.Strong coordination, planning, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to drive tasks independently while collaborating within cross-functional international teams.Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
