Senior Software Verification and Validation Engineer

Job Title: Senior Software V&V EngineerLocation: UAE Job Purpose: A leading aerospace and propulsion technology company is seeking a Senior Software V&V Engineer to perform verification activities for safety-critical embedded software under DO-178C. This role will develop and execute requirements-based test procedures, conduct structural coverage and coupling analyses, support Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, and maintain requirements traceability across requirements, tests, and code, working in close coordination with software, systems, and certification teams. Key Responsibilities: Perform software verification activities for safety-critical embedded softwareDevelop requirements-based test proceduresExecute test runs and analyze resultsPerform software analyses such as data/control coupling and structural coverage analysisDocument verification results and prepare verification reportsMaintain requirements traceability between requirements, tests, and codeSupport HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test setup, execution, and verification activitiesWork in coordination with software, system, and certification teams Required Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical/Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related fieldKnowledge and experience in DO-178C processesMinimum 5 years of experience in C and/or C++ programming languagesKnowledge and experience in software development and/or software verification processesExperience in requirements-based test development, integration testing, and unit testingKnowledge and experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS)Knowledge and experience in bare-metal software developmentKnowledge of software architecturesKnowledge and experience in communication interfaces and protocols such as RS-232/422/485, CAN bus, ARINC 825, ARINC 429, ARINC 664, MIL-STD-1553, and Ethernet (TCP/UDP)Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test environmentsExperience with configuration, change, and requirements management tools such as Git, JIRA, DOORS, JAMA, etc.Experience in test automation and test infrastructure Advantageous: Knowledge of the ARINC 653 standardFamiliarity with structural coverage objectives (statement, decision, MC-DC) per software levelExperience with qualified verification tools and tool qualification (DO-330) N.B.
