Aerothermal & Propulsion Engineer - Aerodynamics, Spacecraft propulsion, Thermal engineering, Satellite/Space industry Long term B2B Contract / freelance opportunity for an Aerothermal & Propulsion Engineer to join one of our leading clients in the Space / Satellite industry. In this role you will have the opportunity to support the development of advanced satellite platforms at Very low Earth orbit (VLEO Platforms). The role of the Aerothermal & Propulsion Engineer will be to analyse spacecraft interactions with the VLEO (Very low earth orbit) environment, as well as assess the Propulsion solutions required to sustain long-duration satellite missions in these atmospheric conditions. Additionally, you will support the definition of Propulsion Subsystem requirements, evaluate the required propulsion solutions and assess the interfaces between propulsion, thermal control, mission operations and overall spacecraft performance. To be successful in this role, you must be a proven Engineer that has experience in both Aerothermal / Aerothermodynamics and Spacecraft propulsion. You don't need to be an expert in both areas, but sufficient knowledge in both areas will be sufficient. The perfect candidate will also have previous experience in the Space/Satellite industry, having worked on previous Satellite projects. The clients offices are in Belgium, and they have a very strong preference for candidates that can come on-site as much as possible.
