Senior Data Architect Relocation to Abu Dhabi RequiredWe’re hiring a Senior Data Architect to help build a new Data Platform from the ground up for a specialist technology company in Abu Dhabi.This is a proper architecture role. You’ll have a big say in how data is stored, processed, governed, and accessed across a range of complex products and systems.You’ll be working in a predominantly on-prem environment, including systems that can be air-gapped or disconnected, so this isn’t your typical cloud-first data role.What you’ll be getting involved in:Designing a shared Data Platform across multiple productsData lakes, warehouses and data management architectureBuilding the architecture behind operational, analytics and AI workloadsWorking with structured, unstructured, time-series, geospatial and binary dataDesigning for on-prem, air-gapped and low-latency environmentsSetting standards around governance, security and access controlWorking closely with engineering teams on the wider technical roadmapWhat we’re looking for:You’ll have experience across data engineering/data architecture and be comfortable making high-level architectural decisions while still understanding what it takes to build and operate these systems.Strong experience across databases, distributed processing, messaging, orchestration, and data governance is important.Experience in defence, government, utilities, critical infrastructure, or other mission-critical environments would be particularly interesting.Please note this role requires you to work onsite in Abu Dhabi
