Job Title: Robotics Engineer (Motion Planning)Location: Abu Dhabi (Relocation required)Salary: €96,000 - €110,000 (Tax Free) + Great company benefits We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Engineer with experience in motion planning and numerical optimization for autonomous systems.In this role, you will develop, implement, and optimize advanced path planning and trajectory planning algorithms for autonomous systems operating in complex and dynamic environments. Key Responsibilities: Develop advanced path and trajectory planning algorithms for autonomous systems.Develop planning algorithms for static and dynamic environments, including obstacle avoidance and local replanning.Evaluate and improve planner robustness, feasibility, and computational performance.Explore advanced motion planning approaches, including learning-based and hybrid model-based/learning-based methods.Prototype algorithms in C++, Python, or MATLAB.Implement production-quality software following software engineering best practices.Integrate planning algorithms into autonomous-system software stacks.ROS/ROS2 development and integration.Develop simulation and testing environments for algorithm validation.Document algorithm designs, test plans, and performance evaluations. Required qualifications and skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.Strong knowledge and experience in path planning and trajectory planning for autonomous systems.Strong background in numerical optimization and constrained optimization.Good understanding of vehicle/robot kinematics and dynamics.Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 and robotic simulation environments.Trajectory optimization and optimal controlNonlinear programming and numerical optimization solversSearch-based or sampling-based planning methodsModel Predictive Control / receding-horizon planningReinforcement learning or supervised learning for robotics and autonomous systemsLearning-based motion planning or decision-makingapproaches combining model-based and learning-based methodsAutonomous aerial, ground, marine, or underwater systemsSoftware development practices such as Git, CI/CD, Docker, and unit testing
