Project description Job Summary: Lead Architect – ServiceNow Client: Client of Magnit Location: Solna/Järfälla, Sweden (On-site) Start Date: November 1, 2026 End Date: June 30, 2027 Duration: 8 months (with possible extension if applicable) Workload: Approximately 40 hours/week Experience Level: Senior Languages Required: Swedish and English (spoken and written) Travel Required: NA Background Check: Required Role Overview:The Lead Architect ServiceNow is responsible for the overall architecture, strategic direction, governance, and technical leadership of the ServiceNow platform. The role ensures that the platform remains: Sustainable Scalable Secure Aligned with business objectives and IT strategy The Lead Architect acts as the primary technical authority and serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, management, solution architects, developers, and service owners. Key Responsibilities Platform Architecture & Strategy Define and maintain the long-term ServiceNow architecture vision. Establish architecture principles, standards, and best practices. Drive the ServiceNow roadmap with business and product owners. Evaluate new ServiceNow capabilities, modules, and technologies. Governance & Compliance Ensure compliance with security, risk, and regulatory requirements. Define development standards and technical guidelines. Lead architecture reviews. Approve major solution designs. Continuously improve governance processes. Solution Design & Advisory Provide architectural guidance to development teams and stakeholders. Design scalable and maintainable solutions. Identify technical risks and architectural debt. Advise leadership on strategic ServiceNow decisions. Integrations & Technical Architecture Own the platform's integration strategy. Ensure integrations with business-critical systems. Define API and data management standards. Ensure platform performance, reliability, and security. Leadership & Collaboration Lead platform architects and development teams. Collaborate with: Enterprise Architects Security Teams Platform Owners Business Stakeholders Encourage knowledge sharing and alignment across teams. Platform Health & Continuous Improvement Monitor architectural quality and platform integrity. Manage technical debt reduction initiatives. Track platform adoption, usage, and compliance. Drive standardization and simplification efforts. Required Skills & Experience Must-Have Technical Skills Extensive experience with ServiceNow Architecture. Strong experience in ServiceNow Platform Development. Deep understanding of: ServiceNow Data Model CMDB (Configuration Management Database) ServiceNow Integrations Platform Architecture Hands-on experience with one or more modules: ITSM ITOM CSM HRSD Knowledge of: Enterprise Architecture Cloud Solutions Security Architecture Integration Patterns Experience leading technical teams and strategic programs. Preferred Leadership Capabilities Technical leadership of large ServiceNow environments. Governance and architecture review experience. Stakeholder management at executive and operational levels. Deep expertise in ITSM and CMDB architecture. Experience defining ServiceNow roadmaps and governance models. Strong stakeholder-facing and leadership skills. Fluency in both Swedish and English.
