Network Engineer – Cisco Nexus, VMware NSX & ACI Fully Remote Freelance Contract We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise across Cisco Nexus, VMware NSX and Cisco ACI to support a complex enterprise data centre environment.The role will focus heavily on data centre networking, network migrations, troubleshooting and infrastructure transformation, working across physical and virtual networking environments. Essential ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches and data centre networking.Proven experience with VMware NSX, specifically NSX-T and/or NSX-V.Solid hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, including:Leaf/spine architecturesEPGsVLANs and path bindingsTenants and application profilesTenant/AP configurationStrong understanding of data centre network migrations and decommissioning at scale.Experience troubleshooting complex multi-vendor network environments.Ability to produce clear and accurate network documentation and operational reporting.Experience working with CMDB and network inventory tools, including reporting on port utilisation and hardware lifecycle planning.Familiarity with F5, NetScaler or other enterprise load-balancing technologies. Nice to HaveExperience with Terraform/Terragrunt or other Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.Python scripting for network automation, data extraction and reporting.Experience working with REST APIs, CSV generation and network data analysis.
