Security Architect – Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Empiric are supporting a leading global organisation on a specialist cybersecurity programme within the telecommunications sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Architect or Cryptography Specialist to assess existing cryptographic environments and support the transition towards quantum-safe security. You’ll be responsible for identifying cryptographic risks and dependencies, conducting PQC readiness assessments and supporting the design and implementation of secure, crypto-agile solutions. Key Skills & ExperienceStrong applied cryptography knowledge, including encryption, digital signatures, hashing and key exchange.Hands-on Post-Quantum Cryptography experience and knowledge of NIST PQC standards.Experience conducting PQC readiness or cryptographic risk assessments.Strong PKI, certificate lifecycle management and key management experience.Experience identifying and documenting cryptographic assets, dependencies and vulnerabilities.Experience supporting PQC migration, algorithm transition or crypto-agility initiatives.Strong understanding of TLS/SSL and secure communication protocols.Experience conducting security architecture and cryptographic design reviews.Programming experience with Python, C/C++ or Java.Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 or related security standards. Nice to HavesTelecommunications industry experience.Blockchain security or blockchain-in-telecom experience.Large-scale enterprise PKI experience.Cryptographic discovery and inventory tooling.Cloud cryptography or cloud key management experience.Zero Trust or enterprise IAM knowledge.
