Head of Developer Relations & Experience
Location: Abu Dhabi (relocation package will be provided)Salary: Up to 40,000 AED per month (~ €110,000 per annum, tax free) We’re partnering with a technology company looking for a Head of Developer Relations & Experience to build and lead a developer-facing function across its products and APIs. This is a founding leadership role - taking Developer Relations beyond traditional documentation into a broader developer experience discipline. You’ll shape the strategy, establish the standards and tooling, support the existing team and build out the function over time. What You’ll DoBuild and lead the Developer Relations & Experience function, working closely with Product and Engineering leadershipDefine the strategy for developer experience, documentation, advocacy and communityOwn the quality, accuracy and completeness of developer documentation across products and APIsCreate quick-start guides, API references, SDK guidance, code samples and developer journeysLead the development of interactive developer content and resources, measuring engagement and effectivenessSupport and mentor the existing Developer Relations team and help shape future hiringEstablish documentation standards, tooling and processes, including docs-as-code workflowsGather developer feedback and feed insights into product and roadmap discussionsBuild relationships with the developer community through content, events and advocacyPartner with Product, Engineering and Sales to ensure developer-facing content reflects current capabilities What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience across Developer Relations, Developer Experience, Technical Writing or a related field, including leadership experienceProven track record of building or scaling a developer-facing functionExcellent technical writing and editing skills with a strong developer-first mindsetHands-on understanding of APIs, SDKs and developer integrationsExperience working with developer portals, hubs or community platformsStrong communication skills across technical content, advocacy and stakeholder managementExperience partnering closely with Product and EngineeringPeople leadership and mentoring experienceComfortable working in a fast-moving, scaling technology businessStrong collaborative mindset and willingness to work across both strategy and hands-on execution Why Abu Dhabi?Abu Dhabi is attracting top global technology leaders, offering an exceptional lifestyle with tax-free income, year-round sun, and a high standard of living.
