We are a community of entrepreneurs and craftspeople, dedicated to excellence and helping businesses succeed.With a wide range of expertise and a focus on finding the right solutions, we support leading companies in developing innovative products and technologies.Role DescriptionOur client is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join a team developing electronic control systems for the automotive industry.In this role, you will work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and software design through implementation, integration, testing, documentation, release and maintenance.You will take technical responsibility for a defined area and work closely with internal teams and external development partners to deliver reliable and high-quality embedded software solutions.The role combines hands-on software development with system integration, troubleshooting and vehicle-level testing. You will also contribute to functional safety and cybersecurity activities in an automotive development environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, document and release embedded software.Define software requirements and break them down into detailed software logic.Develop and integrate AUTOSAR-based software.Work with internal development teams and external software suppliers.Support system integration and software troubleshooting.Perform hands-on testing and validation of embedded software.Contribute to functional safety and cybersecurity activities.Maintain existing software and implement software improvements.Take technical responsibility for your assigned area.Support software releases and maintenance activities.Collaborate with teams across different locations.Share technical knowledge and contribute to effective teamwork.RequirementsDegree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related technical field.8+ years of relevant embedded software development experience.Strong experience with AUTOSAR integration and Vector DaVinci.Strong programming skills in C and C++.Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.Experience with C#.Experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer.Experience with Git and software configuration management.Knowledge of rapid prototyping and dSPACE tools.Good understanding of embedded systems development principles.Experience with static code analysis tools.Experience with SystemWeaver or similar engineering tools.Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and UDS.Basic understanding of ISO 26262 and functional safety.Experience coordinating with software suppliers.Experience developing software in-house for automotive or other safety-related embedded systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to take technical ownership and work independently as well as collaboratively.Nice to HaveExperience with vehicle control systems.Experience with steering systems.Experience with other real-time automotive applications.Experience with cybersecurity in embedded automotive systems.C or CE driving license.How to ApplyIf you are a senior embedded software developer looking to work with advanced automotive electronic control systems and take technical ownership of software development, we invite you to apply.Please submit your CV and a short description of your relevant experience.Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!Amaris Consulting is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
