Role DescriptionOur client is looking for a SW Test Engineer to join the Start Team within Base Technology.In this role, you will work across multiple platforms and technologies, performing system testing in Box Car, HIL, CIL, VHIL and complete vehicle environments. You will work closely with other SW Test Engineers and cross-functional teams to develop, execute and improve software testing.You will contribute throughout the testing lifecycle — from analysing requirements and developing test cases to test execution, fault tracing, automation and continuous improvement of test methods and processes.The role offers an opportunity to work in an agile environment where you will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders both internally and externally. ResponsibilitiesPlan, prioritize and coordinate testing activities together with the team.Analyse system requirements and develop corresponding test cases.Develop and execute system tests in Box Car, HIL, CIL, VHIL and complete vehicles.Develop and implement test cases in CI Device.Drive test automation and integrate automated tests into the CI Chain.Identify test needs and contribute to continuous improvement of test coverage.Implement failure-mode test cases and identify and document corner cases and FRS.Support fault tracing and troubleshooting activities.Analyse test failures and help identify root causes.Contribute to system testing and improve test methods, tools and processes.Contribute to the team's overall test strategy and quality.Collaborate with other SW Test Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.Work as part of an agile team and manage interfaces with internal and external stakeholders. Tools & TechnologiesThe role involves working with a range of automotive testing and diagnostic tools, including:Vector CANoeVector CANalyzerINCAParallel Diag (PD)DSAVIDACar WeaverElektraHIL / CIL / VHIL test environmentsCI Chain / CI Device RequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.Experience in software testing, preferably within the automotive industry.Experience developing and executing system or integration test cases.Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN FD and/or Ethernet.Experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA, DSA or similar automotive testing and diagnostic tools.Experience with HIL, CIL, VHIL, Box Car or complete vehicle testing is an advantage.Experience with test automation, preferably using Python, CAPL or similar languages.Experience with diagnostics, fault tracing and troubleshooting is an advantage.Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective test cases.Ability to document test results, defects, corner cases and findings clearly.Comfortable working in an agile team and collaborating with different stakeholders.A structured and analytical approach with a strong focus on quality.A valid Swedish or EU driving license is required for vehicle testing activities.
