Job Title: Test Manager/ LeadStart Date: 1st OctoberDuration: 2 monthsLocation: RemoteAllocation: 50% 20hrs per weekProject: Enterprise Program Testing Transformation Job SummaryWe require a highly experienced Test Manager who can quickly understand a complex and evolving program environment and define a clear, pragmatic test strategy with limited upfront input. This role focuses on independently shaping a robust testing concept based on proven best practices while adapting it to specific realities, constraints, and dependencies of the program. The successful candidate will bring structure into ambiguity, align stakeholders through a clear strategic direction, and ensure that quality is managed consistently across all projects. Key Responsibilities & DeliverablesAnalyse testing requirements across all projects and define a coherent, program-level test strategy and overall test conceptDevelop a structured testing approach that ensures end-to-end quality across multiple solutions and dependenciesEstablish guiding principles, standards, and governance for all testing activities within the programDefine a pragmatic and robust test strategy even in situations with limited input, ensuring early direction and reducing ambiguityTranslate incomplete or evolving requirements into a clear, actionable testing conceptCommunicate the test strategy and conceptual approach clearly to stakeholders, creating transparency and trustEnsure that the test concept covers integration points, cross-project dependencies, and business-critical scenariosProvide strategic direction for manual and automated testing based on risk, complexity, and business impactAlign testing efforts across projects to ensure consistency in approach, methods, and quality standards Must-Have RequirementsProven ability to independently define a program-level test strategy with limited inputStrong experience in complex, multi-project environments with dependenciesDeep expertise in test strategy, test concepts, and end-to-end quality assuranceAbility to quickly understand new environments and translate ambiguity into a clear approachStrong focus on pragmatic, best-practice-driven solutions adapted to real-world constraintsExcellent stakeholder communication skills, including client-facing situations Should HaveExperience in large-scale digital transformation programsStrong understanding of integration and cross-system testing challengesStrategic view on manual vs. automated testing approachesAbility to balance structure, governance, and delivery pressureExperience working in international and distributed teamsFamiliarity with enterprise platforms such as CMS, DAM, PIM, and integrations Nice-to-HaveExperience in manufacturing or high-tech environmentsExperience in agile or hybrid delivery models at program levelBackground in risk-based testing and quality frameworks Looking for your next freelance opportunity?Tech Freelancers!
