Control System Engineer

Control Systems Engineer We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join a highly advanced engineering environment supporting the development, commissioning, and maintenance of automated industrial systems.This role is ideal for an engineer with strong PLC programming expertise and hands-on experience of servo motion control systems who enjoys working on complex automation projects from concept through to commissioning. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and modify PLC software for automated machinery and production systems.Program and commission servo motion systems, drives and associated control hardware.Develop HMI and SCADA applications to support operational requirements.Carry out system testing, fault finding and root cause analysis.Support machine commissioning, validation and performance optimisation.Work closely with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering teams.Produce technical documentation, functional specifications and test procedures.Participate in continuous improvement activities across automation and control systems. Required ExperienceExperience programming PLCs within industrial automation environments.Strong knowledge of servo motion control and drive systems.Experience with one or more PLC platforms such as Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi.Understanding of industrial communications protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP or Profibus.Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
