Job Title: Lead Electrical EngineerLocation: Finland, HelsinkiContract Type: Freelance / ContractContract Length: 3 YearsWorking Pattern: On-site, with travel across Finland as requiredRate: Dependent on Experience The RoleLead the electrical design activities across multiple data centre projects throughout Finland.Take ownership of all electrical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.Manage and coordinate electrical engineering activities from concept design through to construction, commissioning, and handover.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to electrical engineers and wider project teams.Oversee the design of critical power infrastructure, including medium and high voltage systems, backup power solutions, and distribution networks.Work closely with project managers, clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Lead design reviews, technical assessments, and engineering risk evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.Act as the primary electrical engineering point of contact for stakeholders across projects located throughout Finland. RequirementsMinimum 5+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a similar role.Proven experience working as a Lead Electrical Engineer, Senior Electrical Engineer, or equivalent.Strong background working on data centre, mission-critical, hyperscale, or critical infrastructure projects.Extensive experience with medium and/or high voltage electrical systems.Experience leading electrical design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, backup power systems, and data centre design standards.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Fluent English language skills are required.
